Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis has admitted that his team has overachieved this season following their 11th-placed finish in the Premier League.
The Eagles looked certain to be relegated when Pulis took charge back in November, but a steady climb up the table saw them narrowly miss out on the top half of the standings.
Palace finished their campaign on Sunday with a 2-2 draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
"If you look at the stats from when I came in it shows what a great achievement this season has been but one stat not to forget is that we managed to finish eleventh with the smallest budget in this league," Pulis told the club's official website.
"This football club has massively overachieved and everyone should take great credit, its been a great ride."
Palace finished the season with three wins from their final six matches.
