Chris Powell admits Jonny Williams interest

Crystal Palace's Jonny Williams is a target for Charlton Athletic, manager Chris Powell confirms.

Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell has confirmed that he is considering a move for Crystal Palace's Jonny Williams.

The midfielder is reportedly available on loan, and Powell says that his relationship with Palace boss Tony Pulis could increase the possibility of taking him to The Valley.

"He's a good player, lively and exciting. We do need players of that quality coming in," Powell is quoted as saying by the Croydon Advertiser.

"Whether there are a queue of clubs, I don't know. He's a decent player who is someone I've seen over the past year or two who, I feel, if he ever came to us, would improve us.

"I have known Tony Pulis for nearly a couple of years and got to know him well."

Charlton are 22nd in the Championship.
