Millwall have ended their seven-match losing streak with a 1-0 win away at Derby County in the Championship.
The home side dominated the ball in the opening 10 minutes. Craig Forsyth's cross into the box was knocked down by Bamford for Conor Sammon, but David Forde made the stop.
The Lions goalkeeper then watched a Simon Dawkins effort fly over his crossbar, while Ed Upson fired the away side's first effort into the arms of Lee Grant.
Derby continued to apply most of the pressure with 30 minutes played, although they were unable to find the breakthrough.
Upson then hooked an effort wide and Scott Malone lashed over from inside the box as Millwall looked to shock the home side before the break.
Forde twice denied Dawkins at the start of the second half, but it was the visitors who broke the deadlock. Lee Martin whipped in a cross and Steve Morison powered a header past Grant.
Morison then played in Martyn Woolford as Millwall looked for a second, but he directed his shot straight into the arms of Grant from 12 yards.
Grant also denied Morison when the striker was clean through on goal.
