Derby County have decided not to offer midfielder Kalifa Cisse a new deal after his short-term contract expired over the weekend.
Cisse, 29, signed a deal two-month deal in November, but has not done enough to extend his stay at the iPro Stadium.
Derby first team coach Paul Simpson told the club's official website: "He has been great to have around and in his only start he did a great job against Sheffield Wednesday, but we just felt we needed something else and a little bit more moving forwards."
Cisse will continue to train with Derby as he searches for a new club.
