Paul Hartley: 'Dundee worked hard against Inverness Caledonian Thistle'

Paul Hartley praises Dundee's work ethic following their 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Dundee manager Paul Hartley praised his team's work ethic following their 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

David Clarkson gave the Dee the lead before Graeme Shinnie equalised, and the result gives Dundee a good chance of moving into the top six before the league split.

"We were better in the second half in difficult conditions. The pitch was bumpy and the wind didn't make things easy but we showed good character and spirit to get a good point," Hartley told Sky Sports News.

"We're still in the mix for that top-six place. We've given ourselves a chance and we're happy with a point.

"The whole team worked hard because Inverness are a good possession side under Yogi John [Hughes]. The wind and pitch didn't help us but it sets us up for a massive game on Wednesday [against Dundee United]."

The result sees Dundee stay in seventh in the Scottish Premiership table, two points behind sixth-placed Hamilton Academical with two games in hand.
