Good evening! The final fixture in the opening round of the new La Liga campaign gets underway in around half an hour, with Eibar traveling the Elche. Let's start with a look at the team news.

GRANADA STARTING XI: Fernandez, Mainz, Babin, Rober, Marquez, El Arabi, Piti, Ruiz, Perez, Foulquier, Rochina

EIBAR STARTING XI: Irureta, Ramis, Escalente, Capa, Sergi, Dani, Dos Santos, Luna, Keko, Saul, Adrian

GRANADA SUBSTITUTES: Dimitrievka, Uche, Lopes, Krhin, Cordoba, Success, Edgar

EIBAR SUBSTITUTES: Jorge, Verdi, Pantic, Errasti, Arruabarrena, Junca, Borja

Youssel El-Arabi leads the attack for the home side. Granada have been quiet in the transfer window this summer, the the pressure will be on the Moroccan to find his form in front of goal.

Eibar have been busy strengthening their squad over the summer, hoping to avoid another relegation battle this season. Five players make their league debuts for the club tonight - former Aston Villa defender Antonio Luna, Keko, Sergi Enrich, Adrian Gonzalez Ivan Ramis, while striker Simone Verdi, who comes in on loan from AC Milan, is among the substitutes for the new-look side.

A good start to the campaign will be crucial for these two sides if they are to avoid a repeat of last season. Eibar faced an uncertain future after Elche appealed against their expulsion from the top flight over an unpaid tax bill, and had to wait for a court judgement before being assured of their place in La Liga for another year. They finished level on points with Granada last season, but tonight's home side had a better goal difference, leaving them to finish 17th in the final standings.

While Eibar and Granada have had to wait until now to start their league campaign, the other teams in La Liga have already been in action this weekend. If you've missed any of the results from the opening weekend of the Spanish league, you can find all of our match reports plus loads more on our La Liga page.

Eibar's Adrian Gonzalez, who joined from Elche over the summer, posted a picture of the squad on their flight to Granada earlier:

PREDICTION! With just a few minutes until the players head out for tonight's kickoff, there's just time for a quick prediction. There was little to separate these two sides last season, and while Eibar have certainly strengthened over the summer, it will likely take their new players time to gel, while Granada have the advantage of playing in front of their home fans. This should be a close one, but I think Granada will just edge it 2-1.

Here's the home side going through their warmups a little earlier:

The players are on the pitch ready for kickoff.

KICKOFF! Granada get the action underway.

The home side force a corner just moments after kickoff, but Ruben Rochina's delivery is headed clear at the near post. Eibar try to go on the counter-attack, but Sergi Enrich's cross is hooked clear by Babin. Both sides certainly look up for this match in the opening stages.

CHANCE! Eibar win a corner, which is whipped in towards Mauro Alonso. He rises high in space on the edge of the box to get a header away, but he doesn't get enough power on in, leaving Andres Fernandez with an easy stop in the Granada goal.

Granada quickly press back down the other end, with Rochina looking for options ahead of him. There aren't any though, so he has to take it on himself, curling it well high of the crossbar from 30 yards out.

Xabi Irureta has to be alert in the Eibar goal as Ruben Perez tries to cut inside from out wide, but his finish from a tight angle is straight at the keeper, although it looked like it might have been going wide anyway.

After a rather frantic start by both sides, Eibar are just starting to try to settle the match down, passing the ball around at the back to slow the tempo, before patiently bringing it out to the half-way line. Granada briefly win it back, but Javi Martinez's long ball forward fails to find any of his teammates.

Eibar get forward again, forcing Babin to turn the ball behind for a corner. Capa curls it in, but Marquez is in the right place to head it away, before Piti prevents Capa from quickly playing it back it.

Eibar have been dominating the possession in the last five minutes, and find themselves bearing down on the Granada goal, but Saul Serjon's drive from the edge of the area is weak, bobbling harmlessly through to Fernandez.

PENALTY APPEAL! Granada win a free kick just inside their own half when Marquez is brought down by Escalante. A long ball forward finds El-Arabi on the edge of the box, which Irureta comes out quickly to deal with. The keeper and striker collided, resulting in shouts from some of the players for a spot kick, but the referee isn't convinced, and gives the visitors the goal kick.

Granada are starting to find their way back into this game after allowing Eibar to dominate possession early on. Robert Ibanez skips around Antionio Luna before looking to square it to El-Arabi, but he cross is behind the striker, allowing the visitors to clear the danger.

BOOKING! Keko is the first player to be shown the yellow card for a foul on Ruben Perez.

GOAL! Granada 0-1 Eibar (Adrian)

Adrian marks his Eibar debut with a goal. It's a run down the left from fellow summer signing Luna that sets it up, as he crosses it in front of two defenders to find Adrian, who takes a touch before rifling it into the back of the net, beating the diving Fernandez. It's a clinical finish from the midfielder.

The goal has come slightly against the run of play as Granada has started to look like they were hitting their stride in the five minutes beforehand. Eibar aren't sitting back now that they're ahead though, looking for a way down the opposite flank this time, but El-Arabi wins it back for the hosts.

A long ball forward falls to Ander Capa, who outmuscles Salvador Ruiz to keep it in play for the home side, but he's lacking support, and is unable to create anything from it. It quickly comes back in though, setting up El-Arabi for a low strike from close range, but Irureta does enough to turn it around the post.

Keko makes an excellent run down the right before crossing in towards Berjon. The midfielder climbs up high at the far post looking for the header, but he doesn't get anything on it.

Keko is starting to impose himself in the midfield for Eibar, following up his charge down the flank a couple of minutes ago with a burst through the centre, setting him up for a shot from the edge of the box, but the low strike is hurried, and ends up going well wide.

Granada really haven't been in this match since falling behind, but they get the ball back after a long ball forward from the visitors goes straight through to the keeper. Mainz and Babin brings it out from the back for the hosts as they look for a way to set up an equaliser.

GOAL! Granada 0-2 Eibar (Gonzalo Escalante)

Another debutante finds the back of the net for Eibar as Keko and Verjon work the ball down the right, with the latter slotting it through to Luna, who provides the low cross for Escalante. He's marked by Rochina, but a quick change of direction easily loses the midfielder, leaving him to calmly tap it into the bottom corner. It's a brilliant team effort from the visitors, who really have been the better side over the last 15 minutes.

Eibar are soon piling forward again, with Berjon and Capa both getting in space in the box as Keko played it in from the right, but Granada just about clear the danger in time. The home fans are really not happy with what they've seen so far, and make their feelings known, with whistles and boos filling the stadium.

Granada have free kick in a dangerous position as Ramis is penalised for a foul on El Arabi just outside the Eibar box. Ruben Rochina lines it up and curls it in beautifully, clearing the wall with ease, but Irureta makes a fingertip stop at full stretch to turn it behind.

Granada have another set piece in a promising spot, as a shove near the corner flag gives them another opportunity. Piti flicks it into the path of Mainz, but his header is wide.

BOOKING! Adrian, who opened the scoring, pulls down Piti from behind, earning himself a booking.

Babin flicks the ball on towards Mainz from the resulting set piece after Adrian's foul, but the defender is unable to stop the ball going straight out for a goal kick. Meanwhile, there's just one minutes of stoppage time being played.

HALF TIME: Granada 0-2 Eibar

What a start it's been for Eibar! New signings Adrian and Gonzalo Escalante both find the back of the net on their first league appearances for the side, who thought that they had been relegated at the end of last season. It's certainly been a difficult summer for Eibar, but it looks like they're determined to avoid another relegation fight this year. They thoroughly deserve the lead, but did let Granada get into a couple of decent positions towards the end of the opening 45 minutes. They'll need to be as tight at the back as they have been clinical in the box to prevent the home side getting back into this match.

Granada actually had the majority of the possession in the first half with 64%, although most of that would have been in their own half of the pitch. Eibar created more chances though, with seven to the home side's five, with four on target. Eibar need to keep an eye on their disciline though as opening goal-scorer Adrian and lively midfielder Keko both picked up yellows before the break.

If the match finished now, Eibar would actually end the weekend at the top of the La Liga table. Celta Vigo currently lead thanks to their 2-1 win over Levante last night, so a win by two-clear goals would be enough to better that effort. It hasn't been a high-scoring opening weekend in the Spanish league, but Eibar certainly look like they're keen to do something about that.

Granada have a couple of options on the bench to try to get them back into this match, with strikers Jhon Cordoba and Isaac Success among the substitutes.

The players are starting to make their way out ready for the start of the second half.

RESTART! The visitors get the action back underway.

SUBS! Granada have made two changes for the start of the second half, with Piti and Dimitri Foulquier making way for Isaac Success and Miguel Lopes

Granada try to get forward early in the second half, with Ibanez charging down the left looking to control a long pass forward from Ruiz, but he's unable to stop it going out.

CHANCE! There's a worrying moment for Irureta, who was excellent in the Eibar goal in the first half. He's lurking on the edge of the box when El-Arabi suddenly wins it back for the hosts. He tries to lob the keeper, but he just gets back in time.

GOAL! Granada 1-2 Eibar (Ruben Rochina)

Granada are right back in this match thanks to a superb cross from the left from substitute Isaac Success, leaving Rochina with a simple top into the bottom corner. It was brilliantly worked by the striker, leaving Eibar no time to prepare for the shot.

CHANCE! Granada sense a chance to get back on level terms as they win the ball back in midfield again. Miguel Lopes tries his luck with a powerful finish from 25 yards out, but Irureta just stops it dipping under the crossbar.

There's a lot more urgency in Granada's play now as they look for a second goal in quick succession. Marquez tries to pick out Success down the right, but Luna makes the clearance.

BOOKING! Success has proved an inspired change, and he's almost in again, but Dani Garcia trips him right on the edge of the box, earning himself a yellow card.

CHANCE! From the resulting free kick, Rochina hits the wall, before it hits an unsuspecting Ivan Ramis, who just deflects it behind for a corner.

RED CARD! Salvador Ruiz (Granada)

Just as it looks like Granada are back in this match, the home side find themselves down to 10 men. Dani Garcia tries to control a high ball on the left, but is floored by a high boot from Salvador Ruiz on his debut for the team.

Keko is living a little dangerously as he clatters into the back of Rochina, conceding a free kick. The Eibar midfielder has already been booked, and has just seen that the referee isn't afraid to reach for the red, but he survives this time.

Eibar haven't had many opportunities since the restart, but they're almost in for a third as Luna dodges a couple of lunches from the Granada back four before squaring it towards Enrich, but the pass is just behind the striker.

CHANCE! Granada may be a man down, but they still clearly believe that they can get something from this match as Success picks out Rochina, leaving the midfielder to cut inside before blasting the ball towards the Eibar goal, but Irureta does enough to keep it out.

BOOKING! Antonio Luna is the latest name to go in the book for a foul on Success.

CHANCE! Granada continue to bear down on the Eibar goal as Rochina delivers a corner towards Babin, but the defender's header is just inches wide of the right post.

BOOKING! Eibar are really notching up the yellows as Escalante is the latest to be booked for a late challenge on Mainz.

SUB! Eibar make their first change of the night as goalscorer Adrian is replaced by Mikel Arruabarrena.

GOAL! Granada 1-3 Eibar (Mikel Arruabarrena)

Wow! Talk about super-sub, Mikel Arruabarrena has barely been on the pitch for 30 seconds and he's found the back of the net! From a free kick, he climbc highest in the box just a couple of yards out, nodding it past the keeper with his first touch of the night.

CHANCE! Granada are quickly involved down the other end as Robert Ibanez runs in between a couple of defenders to receive a through-ball from Rochina, forcing the visiting keeper to turn it behind for a corner, but Granada can't create anything from the set piece.

CHANCE! Arruabarrena is involved again, curling the ball in towards Escalante, but Fernandez just about manages to snatch is off the midfielder's head before he can try to nod in for his second of the match.

SUB! Granada make their final change, replacing Robert Ibanez with Edgar.

CHANCE! Eibar come close to adding a fourth as Keko pulls it back to Capa after another superb run down the right. The defender is caught in two minds, unsure whether to take the shot on himself or flick it on for Berjon, and he manages to do neither, scuffing it behind for a goal kick.

SUB! David Junca comes on for the visitors, replacing Berjon.

CHANCE! Granada have been quiet for the lost few minutes as Eibar have started to make their man advantage count, but the home side almost get one back as Rochina finds Edgar with a diagonal pass, but the substitutes low strike swings away from the post at the last moment.

SUB! Sergi Enrich appears to have picked up on ankle injury, so the visitors make their final change, sending on Borja for the last 10 minutes or so.

Rochina tries to run through three Eibar defenders, and inevitably loses out, allowing the visitors to launch an attack down the other end. Capa launches it to Keko, who plays it back in towards Borja, but the recently-introduced striker can't quite get to it in time.

Granada are still trying to get forward when they have the ball, but Eibar are keen to keep possession as much as possibly to run the clock down. Rochina does get it back down the hosts, but there's no-one in the middle to meet his cross, giving the visitors a goal kick.

Ander Capa curls the ball in from the right-hand side towards Keko, but the midfielder, who has certainly been busy on his Eibar debut, was just offside. He's been a little reckless at times with some rather physical challenges, but Keko has also shown bags of pace and some stunning crossing.

BOOKING! Despite already being down to 10 men, Granada get their first booking of the night as Mainz brings down Keko, forcing the referee to reach for his pocket.

There will be four minutes of stoppage time to be played at Los Carmenes.

Despite his side's 3-1 lead, Jose Luis Mendillibar is still barking instructions urgently to his side from the dugout. He clearly thinks that they've got time for a fourth. Arruabarrena does make a run, but his path is quickly closed down by Granada.

BOOKING! Ander Capa catches Edgar late to pick up a booking.

FULL TIME: Granada 1-3 Eibar

It's all over at Los Carmenes, with visitors Eibar taking three points back to the Basque Country thanks to goals from Adrian, Gonzalo Escalante and Mikel Arruabarrena. The result makes Eibar the surprise leaders after the first round of fixtures in La Liga, as well as the division's top scorers.

It did look like we were in for a close match in the second half once Ruben Rochina got a goal back for Granada, but Salvador Ruiz's sending off allowed Eibar to put the result beyond doubt soon after.

So, that's all from this match, but keep checking in throughout the week for loads of news from La Liga, and join us again from Friday for the first fixture of the weekend, when Villarreal host Espanyol. Until then, thanks for joining me this evening. Goodbye.
