Good afternoon and welcome to Sports Mole's live text commentary of the Under-20 World Cup Group E clash between Chile and England.

England are in need of a win this afternoon following their opening game draw with Iraq, where they conceded two goals late on after leading for the majority of the game.

Chile meanwhile, can secure their place in the second round of the tournament following their opening win over Egypt.

The teams have just been announced, so we'll start with Peter Taylor's side.

ENGLAND: Johnstone, Stones, Thorpe, Dier, Potts, Ward-Prowse, Coady, Barkley, Reach, Williams, Kane

Peter Taylor makes three changes to his side that drew their opening game with Iraq. Everton defender John Stones replaces Liverpool's Jon Flanagan at right-back, Tom Thorpe comes into the side for Jamaal Lascelles and John Lundstram drops out for Adam Reach to come into the midfield.

CHILE: Melo, Campos, Lichnovksy, Martinez, Robles, Maturana, Henriquez, Rabello, Fuentes, Castillo, Larenas

Chile are without Cristian Cuevas who was sent off in his side's 2-1 win over Egypt. Mario Larenas comes into the side to replace him.

FORMATIONS: England are likely to lineup in a 4-4-2 formation, with Williams and Kane leading the line up front. Reach and Ward-Prowse will operate on the left and right flanks respectively and expect Barkley and Coady to line up in the centre of midfield.

ENGLAND SUBS: George Long, Bigirimana, Flanagan, Cole, Chris Long, Ripley, Lascelles, Lundstram, Pritchard, Garbutt

CHILE SUBS: Cortes, Contreras, Huerta, Bravo, Mora, Caroca, Rojas, Baeza, Salazar

Just the one English interest in the Chile team this afternoon as Chelsea's Cuevas misses out. Wigan Athletic striker Angelo Henriquez starts up front for Mario Salas's side. The striker scored once for the Latics last season in their Premier League campaign.

England will look to improve on their first performance in the group stage as boss Taylor said on their draw with Iraq: "I was very pleased with the way that we started and pleased to score from a set piece but we needed to do more of the same. In the second half we got another goal but didn't defend as well as I would have liked."

England will also keep an eye on the other game in their group at Egypt take on Iraq at 7pm.

The players are out on the pitch and the national anthems are being sung, with the Chile players being particularly vocal.

Now it's England's turn and they are being just as vocal. Good to see from the youngsters.

The teams are lining up in their respective positions so we should be underway shortly.

We're underway in this Group E clash.

A mistake from Chile allows Barkley to take the ball down on the edge of the area but he tries to do too much on his own and is crowded out and loses possession.

Stones goes close with a header from a Ward-Prowse corner but the referee blows for a foul on Melo, there didn't look to be too much in the apparent foul on the keeper there.

A foul on Kane allows Ward-Prowse another chance to whip a ball into the penalty area.

Offside is the call as Ward-Prowse look to find the run of Williams.

England have controlled possession so far in the game which will please boss Taylor after their collapse against Iraq in their last game.

SHOT!! First shot in anger of the game as Kane strikes the ball from distance after being teed by Barkley but Melo makes the save.

Close for Chile as Rabello whips a low cross into the penalty area which isn't cleared by Stones but Maturana can't make contact with the ball at the back post.

Chile look compose in the possession and look comfortable on the ball in these early stages, England have looked slightly nervous when the first ball hasn't been available.

England look a bit impatient with the ball at the moment as Stones heaves the ball upfield looking for Barkley but the Everton man loses out. Chile play the ball methodically back up the pitch.

England lose possession again as Coady is dispossessed and the ball lands at the feet of Rabello but he goes for power on the edge of the area and hits his effort over the bar.

The Three Lions give away a free kick this time a Reach bundles over Robles five yards short of the half-way line.

Barkley beats his man down the right and tries to force a cross into the area where Kane and Williams wait, but he can lift the ball straight into the hands of Melo.

Maturana does well for Chile as he beats two men on the left before firing a low ball across the face of goal but Potts is there to hoof the ball clear.

Williams gets the ball down the left and does well to turn his man inside out and he hits a low cross into the area, which yet again is poor as it bounces into the hands of Melo.

England win a free kick in the centre circle as Barkley is fouled by Rabello. Will the Three Lions whip another ball into the area?

They don't they choose to work the ball down the right as Ward-Prowse and Coady link up, the latter fires a ball into the area which is just out of the reach of Dier who made a surging run into the box.

Chile go straight on a counterattack and Campos and Wigan man Henriquez interchange passes down the right. The right-back fires a cross into the area and Castillo makes contact but Johnstone grabs the ball with ease.

SHOT!! Henriquez does well down the right as he cuts in on his left foot, beating Potts, and he drills a shot at goal which goes inches over the bar.

England's turn to threaten again as Reach raids down the right and finds the run of Kane in the area, but the Tottenham Hotspur man side foots his shot and it goes horizontal across the face of goal and is cleared.

PENALTY TO CHILE!!

Chile win a penalty as Potts brings down Henriquez in the area with a challenge from behind.

GOAL!!! Chile 1-0 England (Castillo)

Castillo buries the penalty as sends Johnstone the wrong way and he finds the bottom corner. A clinical finish from the spot.

Campos again finds space down the right but this time he can only lift his cross into the hands of Johnstone.

England haven't reacted well to going behind, they keep giving the ball away and Chile are controlling the game at present and look dangerous in the final third of the pitch.

SHOT!! Better from the Three Lions as Williams raids into the box and he pulls the ball back for Barkley on the edge of the area but he drills his shot just wide of the post.

England look more settled in their approach now and are working the ball better than they were, Ward Prowse and Reach have swapped flanks and it appears to be having an effect.

CHANCE!! Williams reverses play and releases Kane down the left, the ball runs just too much for him but the striker does well to keep the ball in, he drags it but fires hit shot straight at Melo and the rebound as well. Poor decision making from the forward there.

Williams has come more into the game as he's playing just behind Kane in an advanced midfield role, which he seems to be relishing.

Another chance for Ward-Prowse to whip the ball into the penalty area as Williams is fouled 40 yards from goal.

A poor free kick from the Southampton man as he gets too much contact on his attempted chip and the ball bounces into the hands of Melo.

HALF-TIME: Chile 1-0 England

Chile have a deserved lead at the break they've been clinical enough when they've had to be, but they haven't had to be at their best this afternoon.

Angelo Henriquez and Bryan Rabello have been dangerous for Mario Salas's side, as they've pulled the England defence apart at times.

England have been poor so far, especially in the final third of the pitch, where their execution and decision making has really let them down. Peter Taylor will want to see a lot more from his side after the break.

STAT ATTACK: Despite their apparent dominance Chile has just amassed two shots on target in the first-half compared to England's four.

The players are making their way back out on to the pitch and we should be back underway shortly.

We're back underway in this Group E clash.

Chile are straight on the attack and Laranas whips a dangerous cross into the area but Potts is alert to the danger and hacks the ball clear.

Rabello fires an effort at goal but Johnstone gets down low to make a comfortable save.

England's turn to threaten and Barkley gets the ball and space and shoots at goal but his effort is straight into the hands of Melo.

Reach is brought down on the edge of the penalty area and it gives Ward-Prowse another chance to whip a cross into the box.

CLOSE!! It's a good delivery fro Ward-Prowse but Thorpe just can't make contact with the ball at the back post and Chile scramble the ball clear.

CHANCE!! Kane gets to the byline for England and crosses for Barkley, Melo comes for the ball and misses, Ward-Prowse collects the ball turns his man but his shot is blocked.

Stones raids forward from the rebound from Ward-Prowse's effort and is brought down 30 yards from goal.

CLOSE!! Kane strikes this free kick and he makes a sweet connection with the ball and it goes just past the post with Melo beaten.

Chile haven't quite settled into their rhythm this half, their passing has been poor and they've looked more susceptible defensively.

Another England free kick and another Ward-Prowse delivery this time he overhits his ball into the area and Melo rises high to claim the ball.

England substitution: Alex Pritchard comes onto replace Luke Williams.

A good ball from Coady finds Pritchard in space on the left but he can't take the ball in stride and his eventual effort is blocked by Campos and the danger is cleared.

GOAL!! Chile 1-1 England (Kane)

England are level and it's a fine strike from Kane as he finds the bottom corner after Barkley had done well with a surging run at the Chile defence and found the Tottenham man on the edge of the area.

CHANCE!! Kane burst upfield again and shoots from distance but he fires his effort just over the bar.

CHANCE!! England go close again as Barkley drifts into the penalty area and shoots at goal but his effort is beaten away by Melo but the rebound comes back to him but this time his shot is blocked.

Chile have a chance to hit back with a free kick 40 yards from goal but Robles hits the ball straight into the hands of Johnstone.

England are upping the ante now as Pritchard breaks upfield with three in support but he overhits his pass to Kane and the attack comes to a halt.

CHANCE!! Chile go close as England fail to clear a cross from the left properly and Stones attempted clearance falls to Rabello on the edge of the area but his effort goes agonisingly wide.

Kane tries his luck from distance again as he collects the ball from Barkley and shoots but his shot goes just wide of the target.

England want a penalty as Pritchard is brought down in the area but the referee waves play on. That call could have gone either way.

CHANCE!!! England should be ahead as Pritchard heads straight at Melo just yards from goal after substitute Larnell Cole had crossed from the right.

England are the better side at the moment and are really pushing for the winner. Can they get the goal in the last few minutes?

Stones hits a free kick long into the box and Melo comes a long way for the ball but he does well to punch the ball clear as it goes all the way past the half-way line.

OFF THE BAR!! Rabello hits the bar for Chile with an outstanding effort. He picks the ball up 40 yards from goal and runs at the England defence before letting fly from 35 yards with a dipping effort which beats Johnstone and crashes into the bar and bounces clear.

Just as England were looking dangerous for a second, Chile have come out of nowhere as Rabello is pulling all the strings. They're putting the pressure on the Three Lions late in the game.

CHANCE!!! Pritchard spurns another chance for England as he can't turn Kane's cross into the net after Barkley slipped the Tottenham man behind the Chile defence. That was a real chance for England.

England are nearly cut open at the back as Rabello raids forward again but Dier comes in with a big challenge and halts the midfielder in his tracks.

Potts has a real chance to play Pritchard in with a ball across the face of goal but he can't beat Campos who makes a critical block. Is that England's last chance to win the game gone?

FULL-TIME: Chile 1-1 England

It's all over and England have earned a vital point which keeps their hopes of reaching the second round of the tournament alive thanks to Harry Kane's second-half strike.

Peter Taylor's side produced a much improved performance in the second-half to earn their point as in the first period they were very much second best. They will take a lot of positives from the game, which in the end they could and perhaps should have won.

Chile have all but guaranteed their place in the second round of the tournament and they look to have found a few players for the future in the form of Angelo Henruiquez and Bryan Rabello, both of whom were impressive this afternoon.

England will cast an interested eye over Iraq's game with Egypt which takes place later today, to see what they will need to do in their final group game to qualify for the second round of the tournament.

Thanks for joining our live commentary today, until next time, goodbye.
