The Football Association have reportedly called a press conference for 4pm this evening.
It is expected that the governing body will then go on to unveil Roy Hodgson as the new manager of England.
Hodgson held four hours of "positive" talks with the FA yesterday afternoon regarding the possibility of taking over from Fabio Capello, who resigned from the role in February.
The current West Bromwich Albion boss arrived at Wembley this morning to continue those discussions.
It is believed that Hodgson will be allowed to see out the remainder of the Premier League season with the Baggies.
