England keeper Joe Hart has insisted that he is upbeat over the future of the national side ahead of Euro 2016 despite their defeat to Spain.
Mario Gaspar and Santi Cazorla found the net in the second half to fire Vincente del Bosque's men to the victory in the friendly clash in Alicante.
However, Hart feels that the Three Lions showed enough promise in the game to be optimistic due to the youthful side put out by Roy Hodgson.
Hart told the Football Association's official website: "There is loads to improve but we have built a good basis. We have put people like Dele [Alli] and Eric [Dier] in, boys who haven't played that many games.
"I was an old man out there today and I'm 28 years old. That is one promising thing.
"We had some chances and we were in the game but we lost and we have to dust ourselves off and perform better against France."
England's clash against France has reportedly been cancelled due to the terror attacks in Paris on Friday night.
