A late Arjen Robben goal has given the Netherlands a 3-2 victory over England at Wembley Stadium.

After a goalless first half, the visitors took the lead in the 57th minute when Robben was allowed to run from his own half before firing in past Joe Hart.

Their lead was doubled almost instantly as substitute Huntelaar headed in. However, defender Chris Smalling was stretchered off in the build-up after a clash of heads with Huntelaar.

Stuart Pearce's side managed to pull a goal back in the final five minutes as Gary Cahill ventured forward before slotting in.

The hosts snatched an equaliser in the 90th minute when Ashley Young dinked in from the angle.

Despite the rapturous scenes inside Wembley, there was late drama as Robben's deflected effort flew past Hart.
