Joe Hart: 'World Cup heat not an excuse'

England goalkeeper Joe Hart insists that his side can not use the heat as an excuse during this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

England number one Joe Hart has insisted that his team can not use the temperature as an excuse during this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

The Three Lions get their campaign underway against Italy on June 14 in Manaus - a city located in the Amazon rainforest.

However, Roy Hodgson's side will prepare for the heat with training camps in Portugal and Miami before the tournament, and Hart insists that there can be "no excuses" regarding the weather.

"It's going to be hot out there, we're just going to have to deal with it. No excuses when we're out there, it's only weather," Hart said in a question and answer session on Facebook.

England also face Uruguay and Costa Rica in the group stages, which begin on June 12 when hosts Brazil take on Croatia.
