Everton defender Sylvain Distin has declared that he is not yet ready for retirement as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract.
The 37-year-old said that he would be open to offers elsewhere if Blues boss Roberto Martinez dubs him surplus to requirements next season.
"The first question is to ask myself if I want to carry on playing? The answer is yes," the Daily Star quotes him as saying.
"The second question will be what opportunities will I have and is it going to be in England, at Everton or somebody else?
"Then it is up to me to decide if the opportunity works or not. It's not just up to me really."
Distin has made 171 appearances for Everton since joining the club from Portsmouth in 2009.
