Steve Kean has said that Blackburn Rovers' 1-0 loss to Everton at Ewood Park was difficult to take.
Forward Mauro Formica was adjudged to have been fouled twice in Everton's area in the second half, but the Lancashire outfit failed to convert either spot-kick.
With the scoreline goalless, Mikel Arteta's injury-time penalty sealed all three points for the away side.
"It's a tough one to take because we have overall control of the game, especially in the second half when I thought we really took it by the scruff of the neck," the Blackburn boss told Sky Sports News.
"There's not too many games when you get opportunities to put two penalties away.
"I'd be standing here disappointed if we came away with just one point so not to get any, I'm really very disappointed."
Blackburn, who remain without a point after three games, next travel to Craven Cottage to take on Martin Jol's Fulham.
