Phil Neville has taken the news that he will be substitute recently well, according to Everton manager David Moyes.

Everton manager David Moyes has praised Phil Neville's attitude during his recent spell among the substitutes.

Moyes has decided to not start the club captain during Everton's last two matches against Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic.

However, instead of complaining about his manager's decision, Moyes has revealed that Neville has remained a productive figure in the squad.

"Phil will always play for me and his attitude was spot on," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo. "He was rallying the troops in the dressing room, encouraging them. He was probably the loudest in the dressing room.

"It doesn't make any difference to him.

"But he knows his opportunity will come again and he'll be the first to acknowledge that Tony Hibberthas played well in a couple of games."

The 34-year-old joined the Toffees in 2005 from Manchester United.
