David Moyes will have to monitor Leighton Baines's fitness after he was taken off during Everton's FA Cup win over Cheltenham Town.

David Moyes will monitor Leighton Baines after the defender was taken off during Everton's 5-1 victory over Cheltenham Town.

Baines went into the game carrying an injury and despite scoring Everton's second goal, was taken off in the second half.

The England international is now a doubt for the weekend game against Swansea City.

"Leighton's got a bad ankle problem which I need to watch and be careful with," said Moyes.

"I felt we needed him against Cheltenham because we had to respect the players at this level."

Moyes said that the FA Cup victory was tough, but was pleased with the way his players performed.
