Preview: Everton vs. Sunderland

Everton will open up a four-point advantage over rivals Liverpool with a victory over Sunderland tomorrow. Here, Sports Mole previews their chances of taking maximum points.

Sunderland will travel to Everton on Easter Monday looking to gain some revenge for the recent FA Cup exit at the hands of the Toffees.

They may have to go about their task without captain Lee Cattermole, who is suffering with a knee problem. Vice-skipper Phil Bardsley is also struggling to be fit in time because of a muscular injury.

However, Kieran Richardson and Wayne Bridge have been deemed fit enough to take their place in the squad.

The hosting Toffees are likely to be able to call upon Jack Rodwell following a spell on the sidelines, while Royston Drenthe is due to return from compassionate leave.

Victory for Everton will see them put four points between themselves and Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

Current form:

Sports Mole says: 2-1
