Muhamed Besic, Bryan Oviedo to extend Everton contracts

Muhamed Besic and Bryan Oviedo are in line for new contracts with Everton having triggered 12-month extensions due to appearances.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that both Muhamed Besic and Bryan Oviedo are poised to extend their contracts with the Premier League side.

Both players recently triggered 12-month extensions because of the number of games that they have featured in.

Left-back Oviedo's new deal will see him tied down until the end of next season, while midfielder Besic's time at Goodison Park will be extended until summer 2020.

"We are hopeful that over the next few weeks we can announce news in respect to those players," Martinez told Everton's website.

Besic, 23, has been at the club since summer 2014, while 25-year-old Oviedo joined the Toffees in August 2012.
