Everton's Aiden McGeady to join Sheffield Wednesday?

Everton winger Aiden McGeady will reportedly join Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the remainder of the season.

Everton winger Aiden McGeady will reportedly join Championship promotion-chasers Sheffield Wednesday on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old had been linked with a move to Spanish side Sevilla in recent days, as well as Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United and Celtic, but is now expected to undergo a medical with the Owls this weekend, according to Sky Sports News.

McGeady will be Wednesday's third Premier League signing of the window following the arrivals of Norwich City striker Gary Hooper and Aston Villa full-back Joe Bennett.

Wednesday are currently sixth in the Championship, nine points off the automatic promotion places.
