Evian TG striker Sidney Govou has urged fans of the club to remain patient despite their stuttering start to the Ligue 1 season.
Evian face Valenciennes on Sunday sitting 17th in the league table, just three points above the drop zone, but Govou was keen to remind the fans that they "can't have everything".
"People like to say that players are ungrateful, but you can say the same for the supporters here," Ligue1.com quotes Govou as saying.
"They've forgotten where this club has come from. They should be happy to see big clubs coming here.
"Of course they want us to do well quickly. We'd also like to be fighting in the top half, but you can't have everything."
Evian finished ninth in Ligue 1 last season.
