Josip Ilicic: 'Inter Milan, Napoli not good enough to win Serie A'

Inter Milan and Napoli are not good enough to win this season's Serie A title, according to Fiorentina attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic.

Fiorentina attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic has said that he does not believe Inter Milan and Napoli are good enough to win this season's Serie A title.

The Viola are currently level on points with Inter at the top of Italy's top flight, but Ilicic does not expect Roberto Mancini's side to be competing for the Scudetto on the final day of the season.

"I spoke with [Inter goalkeeper] Samir Handanovic. They are great in defence but have had a lot of luck," the Slovenia international told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Inter don't seem like they are good enough to win the Scudetto, even though Ivan Perisic, Stevan Jovetic and Adem Ljajic are great players."

When suggested that Napoli are also making progress in the league, Ilicic added: "Maurizio Sarri's team have a great attack, but their defence isn't good enough to win the title."

Fiorentina are next in action tomorrow at home to Empoli, who currently stand 13th in Serie A.
