Striker Djibril Cisse has revealed that he is returning to France to try to earn a place in France's World Cup squad.
Cisse will reportedly leave Russian side Kuban Krasnodar to move to Bastia, and the former Liverpool forward has admitted that he is keen to impress France coach Didier Deschamps.
The 32-year-old told L'Equipe: "I want to try to get a ticket for Brazil. I know what I have to do and that means not speaking with Deschamps but proving it on the field.
"I know that it is necessary to play in a major league. I was in Russia but I want a harder level of demand as a professional so I am going back to France."
Cisse has scored five goals in 22 appearances for Kuban during the current campaign.
