Germany assistant coach Hansi Flick admits that they fear the Netherlands' attacking ability ahead of their Group B clash on Wednesday.

Germany assistant coach Hansi Flick has admitted that they fear the Netherlands' attacking ability ahead of their Group B clash on Wednesday.

Germany will secure a spot in the quarter-finals with a victory, however, Flick has called for caution ahead of the crucial encounter.

"Netherlands play their 4-2-3-1, or 4-3-3 of the past rather, but what distinguishes them is their individual strengths," he told the official German football association website.

"[Robin] Van Persie, [Klaas-Jan] Huntelaar, [Dirk] Kuyt, [Arjen] Robben, [Rafael] van der Vaart, [Ibrahim] Afellay or [Wesley] Sneijder are all players with great quality who can decide a game on their own. We have to be strong against them defensively and play our own game.

"We know our opponents' system very well. In the last two years we have prepared very well and know all the teams' tactical options and systems."

Germany currently sit top of Group B.
