Patrick Kluivert rules out international management

Former Netherlands international Patrick Kluivert says that he has no interest in managing Ghana or any other international side.

Patrick Kluivert has ruled himself out of the running to take charge of the Ghana national side.

The 38-year-old, along with former Chelsea boss Avram Grant, was believed to be on the shortlist to replace Kwesi Appiah, who was sacked after this summer's World Cup.

However, Kluivert has revealed that while he would like to try his hand at management, he would prefer to coach a club side.

"At this stage of my career, I don't think that a national team is for me. I would like to work with a team every day, to work on a structure. I hope to do that in the near future," he told Sky Sports News.

The former Ajax and Barcelona striker was a part of Louis van Gaal's coaching staff during his second stint in charge of the Netherlands.
