Hull City caretaker manager Mike Phelan has said that he does not know who will make the final decision regarding his future at the Premier League club.
Phelan has guided the Tigers to seven points from their opening four fixtures in the Premier League but despite the expectation that he will be kept on at the KCOM Stadium, he remains in the dugout on a temporary basis.
Last week, Phelan stressed that he wished to remain at the club but in the seven days that have followed, he has claimed that there has been little progress in discussions with the club's hierarchy.
The 53-year-old told reporters: "We are in discussions, we have had a week of trying to sort things out - we're still at that stage.
"Nothing has transpired that has made me put pen to paper. There's still the takeover in the background and I find myself in the middle of that, trying to sort out my future.
"I don't know who is involved any more and how far discussions have gone. It is possibly a frustrating thing from my point of view."
Hull play host to Arsenal this weekend.
