Good evening and thank you for joining Sports Mole for live text commentary of the Serie A match between Inter Milan and AC Chievo Verona at the San Siro.

INTER XI: Handanovic, Campagnaro, Rolando, Juan Jesus, Jonathan, Kuzmanovic, Cambiasso, Alvarez, Nagatomo, Kovacic, Palacio

CHIEVO XI: Puggioni, Frey, Dainelli, Cesar, Sardo, Bentivoglio, Radovanovic, Hetemaj, Drame, Paloschi, Thereau

The players are out on the pitch, and the game is just moments away from getting started.

KICKOFF! We are underway at the San Siro!

Alvarez has the first shot of the match, as he cuts in from the right, before firing a low strike wide of the post.

Inter have seen a lot of the ball in the opening stages, but have yet to really seriously trouble the visiting defence, as their first corner kick of the game fails to find anyone in the box.

GOAL! Inter Milan 0-1 Chievo (Paloschi)

What a start to the game for Chievo! Paloschi picks up the ball on the left hand side of the box, before cutting inside, and bending a stunning strike into the top corner, leaving Handanovic with no chance. Are we going to see a second shock defeat for one of the Milan giants this week?

Palacio immediately tries to come up with a response from Inter, but after being slipped into the box, his shot from a tight angle is saved at the near post by the keeper.

GOAL! Inter Milan 1-1 Chievo (Nagatomo)

Inter aren't behind for long, as Nagatomo finds the net. Alvarez did well to get down the right hand side and fires a low ball across the box, that the Japanese full back meets to place a low shot into the bottom corner.

GOAL DISALLOWED: Nagatomo latches onto a mis-hit shot at the back post and has the ball in the back of the net again, but it has been ruled out for offside. That looked a tight decision and he will be desperately disappointed to see that strike chalked off.

CHANCE! The home side win a free kick on the right hand side of the area, and Alvarez whips in a dangerous ball that the keeper has to be alert to tip over the bar.

Inter seem to have gotten over the shock of conceding that early goal and have taken charge of possession. They look dangerous every time they come forward and have penned their opponents back deep inside their own half.

CHANCE! Inter should be ahead! Palacio rises unmarked at the back post to meet a cross from Jonathan, but he places his header wide.

Chievo enjoy a rare spell of possession but as Drame gets to the byline and tries to pick out a cross, he over-hits the ball and it goes out harmlessly for a goal kick.

Palacio bursts forward down the left flank for Inter, and with players arriving in the middle, he tries to deliver a cross, but he is crowded out by the visiting defnders.

Inter have been slower to come forward in the past few minutes, and have allowed Chievo the chance to close them down quickly. Their manager will surely be looking for a goal before half time.

There hasn't been much in the way of chances in recent moments, with the ball spending a lot of time in the centre of the pitch. Inter are still enjoying more of the possession, but haven't been able to force a way through to score a second goal as yet.

CHANCE! Thereau has a great opportunity to score a second for his side. He is slid through on goal, and with four Inter defenders around him, he curls an effort from the edge of the box just wide of the post, with the help of a slight deflection.

YELLOW CARD! Hetemaj is the first player to pick up a booking this evening.

YELLOW CARD! Kovacic quickly becomes the second player to be booked, following a late challenge on Hetemaj.

Palacio looks to bend a strike into the bottom corner of the net, but he doesn't connect with the ball properly and sends it wide of the far post.

HALF TIME: Inter Milan 1-1 Chievo

No additional time is added on to the end of the half, and it finishes 1-1 after 45 minutes at the San Siro. Alberto Paloschi stunned the home side by firing Chievo into an early lead, but Yuto Nagatomo slotted in to equalise just four minutes later, with everything to play for in the second half.

Chievo will feel disappointed that they weren't able to hang on to their lead for longer, but Inter's response to falling behind was impressive. They arguably should be 2-1 up, with Nagatomo having a goal harshly ruled out for offside.

Inter will be desperate to get the three points this evening, and earn their first win of 2014. More importantly, they started the day 11 points behind Napoli, who are in the final Champions League qualifying position, and will want to close that gap as soon as possible.

The players are making their way back out onto the pitch and kick off is just moments away.

We are back underway at the San Siro.

Inter have started the second half by seeing plenty of the ball. They have an early chance to trouble their opponents, but Nagatomo over hits a cross from the left wing, with Palacio arriving in the box.

The hosts are patiently passing the ball around between their midfield, but Chievo have shown good defence solidarity to keep them from creating any clear chances in the half so far.

Inter and Chievo momentarily both have a man down, as Thereau and Kuzmanovic clash heads whilst challenging for the ball. They both receive some treatment, and are fine to continue.

Alvarez goes down just outside the box after a slight touch from Drame. There didn't seem to be much in that, but Inter will have a free kick in a good shooting position.

CHANCE! Alvarez takes the set piece, but his powerful effort is beaten away by the keeper.

Inter are nearly in on goal, as Palacio runs in behind onto a long pass, but his first touch is poor and the ball runs away from him and out of play.

SUBSTITUTION: Inter make a change, with Milito replacing Cambiasso.

The visitors are proving that they are still a threat, and Thereau tries his luck from range with a powerful strike, that takes a slight deflection before heading over for a corner.

CHANCE! From the resulting set piece, Thereau arrives unmarked in the middle to meet the ball, but his thumping header goes over the bar.

CHANCE! Alvarez comes close again for Inter, with a stinging effort that Puggioni manages to push away at his near post.

CHANCE! What a huge chance for Chievo to take the lead! They break quickly and Thereau finds Paloschi in acres of space. He drives into the area, before pulling the ball back to Thereau, but he places his low effort wide of the goal.

Inter are starting to crank up the pressure as the game enters the final stages. They are camped outside the Chievo penalty box, but just can't quite find the right ball to work a chance on goal.

SUBSTITUTION: Chievo make a change, with Estigarribia coming on for Paloschi.

The home side have been missing the killer ball this evening, and are lacking a cutting edge in the final third. A lot of credit must go to Chievo, who have defended brilliantly so far in this match.

Inter will have a good chance to get the ball into the box, after winning a free kick on the right hand touchline, which Alvarez will take.

Alvarez decides to play the free kick low to Kuzmanovic on the edge of the box, but his attempt at a through ball is blocked the visiting defence.

SUBSTITUTION: Chievo make a change, as Mbaye comes on for Bentivoglio.

SUBSTITUTION: Inter also make a change and Taider comes on for Kuzmanovic.

Sardo is down for Chievo after injuring himself while sliding for the ball, and it looks like he is in a lot of pain.

SUBSTITUTION: Inter make their final change of the match, with Botta replacing Campagnaro.

We are going to have four minutes of stoppage time.

Chievo have the ball deep inside the Inter half and are hanging on to try and see this game out.

FULL TIME: Inter Milan 1-1 Chievo

What a result for Chievo! They have earned a point from the San Siro after a fantastic defensive display. The home fans will be disappointed at the performance from their team, as they remain adrift of the Champions League places.

That's all we've got time for here, please stay with us for all of today's results and news, but from me, it's goodnight.
