Charlton boss Chris Powell has hailed his team after Johnnie Jackson's 90th-minute equaliser earned them a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town.
The Tractor Boys took a first-half lead from a Richard Wood own goal, but Jackson grabbed an unlikely leveller after his shot deflected off Town defender Christophe Berra and past Dean Gerken. Addicks keeper Ben Alnwick also saved a penalty in the second half.
Powell believes that his side deserved a point from their trip to Portman Road.
He told reporters: "We could have been walking away with a defeat when I think the minimum we deserved was a point. The performance, especially in the second half, warranted it.
"Johnnie got the goal but Ben made a good save from the penalty. He has been first-class since we brought him in."
Charlton currently sit in 19th place in the Championship, three points above the bottom three.
