Preview: Ipswich Town vs. Yeovil Town

Sports Mole peers ahead to the Championship match between Ipswich Town and Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.

Two Towns collide at Portman Road on Tuesday as Ipswich welcome Yeovil to Suffolk for the first meeting between the two sides for eight years.

Mick McCarthy's Tractor Boys play hosts for the second time in three days and will feel confident after Saturday's 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough.

Daryl Murphy impressed after coming on for Frank Nouble against Boro and should come back into the starting lineup at the youngster's expense.

Visiting Yeovil picked up their first point since the opening day of the season by earning a draw at Sheffield Wednesday, despite having 10 men for much of the game at Hillsborough.

Byron Webster will now miss the next three matches and is likely to be replaced by Liam Fontaine in the heart of the Glovers' defence.

It will be a big evening for local lad Ed Upson, who was released by Ipswich during Roy Keane's reign, as he faces his boyhood side for the first time.

When these two teams last met in the League Cup back in 2005, it was Yeovil who left East Anglia with all three points thanks to a 2-0 win.
