Fernando Llorente quashes Juventus exit rumours

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente insists that he is in Turin for the long haul and denies rumours of an exit in the January transfer window.

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has denied reports in the Italian media that he may look to leave Turin in January, insisting that he is starting to find his feet after a difficult transition to life in Serie A.

Llorente has scored just once in nine Serie A appearances so far this season, but did get his second Champions League goal against Real Madrid in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at the Juventus Arena.

The Spanish striker has been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks but is adamant that he has the trust of Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte, as he looks to nail down a consistent starting spot for the Old Lady.

He told Radiogaceta de los Deportes: "I've not been asked to leave. What is being written in the papers is false. I have the complete faith of everyone at Juventus.

"It was not easy for me to adapt to the movements and plays of the team, but I'm slowly managing to do what the boss wants.

"Once I have completely settled then everything will go well."

Juve are currently level on points with second-placed Napoli in Serie A, ahead of a top-of-the-table clash between the two sides on Sunday night.
