Gareth Bale pleased with performance

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale says that he is pleased with his performance as his side drew 2-2 with Juventus in the Champions League.

World-record signing Gareth Bale has said that he is pleased with his performance in Real Madrid's 2-2 Champions League draw against Juventus last night.

Both Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the second half to cancel out Arturo Vidal's opener, before Fernando Llorente grabbed an equaliser for the home side.

"It's always nice to get a goal," said Bale, according to Sky Sports News.

"It's obviously a difficult place to come, in Juventus it's such a hostile atmosphere. I think a point isn't a bad result. Obviously we came here to win, but we'll take it and move on to the next game and try to qualify as quickly as possible.

"I've come back and played three games in a week. I'm still building my fitness up. I'm not sure why I was taken off, but it's obviously the manager's decision and I've got to do what is best for the team."

Real currently occupy top position in Group B, having collected 10 points from four games.
