Johnnie Jackson hoping to continue Charlton Athletic run

Johnnie Jackson hopes that Charlton Athletic can continue their strong run of Championship form when they face Leeds United at the weekend.

Charlton Athletic skipper Johnnie Jackson believes that the club can continue their strong run of form when they face Leeds United at the weekend.

The Addicks are unbeaten in their last five league fixtures, a run of form that has moved them into 17th position in the table.

"We're feeling good about ourselves. People have spoken about the lack of goals but we feel that is coming, and if we win 1-0 every week we'll take that anyway," he told PA.

"We certainly feel we're in a decent place and when you've got that solid defence and that stability it gives you something to build on. We always feel like if we get a goal we can defend a lead, not that we only want to get one every week. We want to keep going and get more and I think we will.

"Leeds are playing well but so are we so it should be a tough game. We beat them at home last year and, the place that we're in, we'll be thinking it's a winnable game for us."

Charlton have scored just 11 times in the Championship this season.
