Leeds United have confirmed that Neil Redfearn has signed a 12-month rolling contract to become the club's new permanent head coach.
The assistant manager took temporary charge of the side following Dave Hockaday's dismissal earlier this season, and was placed back at the helm after Darko Milanic was sacked last weekend.
Redfearn has been at Elland Road since taking charge of the Under-18s in January 2009, and helped them win 10 points from a possible 12 in a four-match stint as caretaker earlier this season.
Leeds face Cardiff City in the Championship this afternoon.
