Claudio Ranieri: 'Leicester City made it too easy for Porto'

Claudio Ranieri believes that Leicester City made it "too easy" for Porto in the Foxes' 5-0 Champions League defeat on Wednesday night.

Claudio Ranieri has criticised the Leicester City players whose performance led to a 5-0 thrashing against Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Foxes were already assured of top spot in Group G but they capitulated in Portugal as Andre Silva bagged a brace and Jesus Corona, Yacine Brahimi and Diogo Jota completed the rout.

"I have a clearer idea about my players now," Ranieri told reporters after the game. "We wanted to see something different, but it was too easy for Porto. We didn't make them fight to score.

"We can lose, but I want us to show our character and our strength. We didn't do that well enough."

Leicester return to Premier League action this weekend as they host Manchester City on Saturday.
