Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez once again fails to report for training and will miss the game against Swansea City this weekend, according to a report.

Riyad Mahrez has reportedly missed a second day of training with Leicester City after failing to secure a deadline-day move to Manchester City.

The Algerian winger was rumoured to have been left "very depressed" by a late breakdown in talks between the two clubs on Wednesday, once again leaving his King Power Stadium future in limbo.

For the second transfer window running Mahrez went AWOL in a desperate attempt to get a deal over the line, and it emerged on Thursday morning that he did not join up with his teammates at the club's training complex.

According to Sky Sports News, the 26-year-old was again absent on Friday and will now be left out of the squad to face Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

The report suggests that a high-level meeting will now be held to discuss the situation, with boss Claude Puel, director of football John Rudkin and head of communications Andrew Neville all expected to be present.

Mahrez, who also missed out on a summer switch to Arsenal and Roma, is expected to be fined £200,000 for going absent without leave.
