Robbie Savage has insisted that Jamie Vardy should be named in England's starting lineup after the striker scored in a ninth successive Premier League match.
The Leicester City striker, who is the top scorer in the Premier League so far this season, scored a penalty in the Foxes' 2-1 win over Watford, and is part of Roy Hodgson's squad for the Three Lions' upcoming matches against Spain and France.
The former Leicester and Wales midfielder told BBC Sport: "Considering where Leicester now find themselves, they could quite easily be in the top six by the end of the season. The way they attack, with 25 goals already this campaign, means they have a real opportunity.
"And Jamie Vardy should be asking Roy Hodgson to play down the middle for England. He should start as a centre-forward for his country."
Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney are the other strikers included in the England squad for the upcoming international break.
