Liverpool take on Udinese at Anfield in the Europa League this evening and they can top Group A with a victory.

Liverpool can top Group A in the Europa League if Brendan Rodgers's side successfully overcome Udinese at Anfield this evening.

The Reds managed to secure a thrilling 5-3 win over Young Boys in their last European outing and they will be hoping to repeat that feat against their Italian opponents, who have only ever won once against an English team, which was Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Cup during the 2008-09 campaign.

The Merseyside outfit are currently unbeaten in six European fixtures and Rodgers will try to secure the seventh with a relatively young side that is likely to boast Dani Pacheco up front with Fabio Borini, Suso and Oussama Assaidi providing support.

Reds skipper Steven Gerrard and frontman Luis Suarez are likely to be rested, while Jordan Henderson and Jonjo Shelvey, whose three-match ban is not affected in Europe, should line the middle of the park.

Meanwhile, Francesco Guidolin is expected to field Matias Ranegie at the top of the line in place of Antonio Di Natale, who is likely to be rested.

Recent form:

Liverpool: DWLWW
Udinese: DDWDD

Possible lineups:

Liverpool: Jones; Wisdom, Carragher, Coates, Enrique; Henderson, Shelvey; Borini, Suso, Assaidi; Pacheco

Udinese: Padelli; Danilo, Domizzi, Benatia, Armero; Faraoni, Bado; Lazarri, Pereya, Willians; Ranegie

Sports Mole says: 2-1
