Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

Tottenham Hotspur play host to Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday evening looking to boost their chances of finishing the season in the top four.

Having picked up just one point from games at Norwich City and Southampton, Spurs now sit six points adrift of Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho also has a number of injury issues to contend with ahead of welcoming the top-flight leaders to North London.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their first contest of the year in front of their own supporters.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out
Type of injury: Elbow
Possible return date: Unknown

February has been pencilled in as the possible return month for Lloris, who has been sidelined since dislocating his elbow against Brighton & Hove Albion in October.

Ben Davies

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Davies has been absent since sustaining an ankle injury in Mourinho's first game in charge against West Ham United. The Welshman may not return until at least the end of January.

Danny Rose

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: January 18 (vs. Watford)

Rose sustained a muscular injury last week, resulting in the Englishman being sidelined for the previous games. Mourinho has predicted that the left-back will be absent for 'a couple of weeks'.

Harry Kane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Having been withdrawn against Southampton on New Year's Day with a hamstring injury, Kane is expected to be sidelined for at least a month. Mourinho has suggested that the issue 'is not a small one', hinting that the forward is unlikely to return before the middle of February.

Tanguy Ndombele

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Liverpool)

Ndombele lasted just 25 minutes of the match against Southampton before being withdrawn due to a hip problem. With the Frenchman having missed out at the weekend, it remains unlikely that he will be in contention for a starting role against Liverpool.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no suspension issues for this match.
