Real Madrid have been handed an injury boost ahead of the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool, with Dani Carvajal stepping up his recovery from a muscular problem.
Carvajal has been on the sidelines since the middle of January, missing Madrid's last five La Liga matches, in addition to both legs of their Champions League last-16 clash with Atalanta BC.
The 29-year-old was able to take part in some light training for Los Blancos on Friday, though, fuelling suggestions that he will return to action soon after the international break.
According to Marca, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane wants the right-back to take part in full training sessions next week, and he could potentially be available for the first leg against Liverpool on April 6.
Madrid will be back in La Liga action against Eibar on April 3 before facing bitter rivals Barcelona at home on April 10 ahead of the second leg of their last-eight tie with Liverpool on April 14.
A number of injuries have restricted Carvajal to just 12 appearances in all competitions this term.
