Charlie Adam: 'Liverpool are adapting'

Charlie Adam insists that the Liverpool squad are already adapting to the passing style of new manager Brendan Rodgers.

Charlie Adam believes that the Liverpool squad are adapting to Brendan Rodgers's passing style.

Rodgers, who took charge of the Reds last month, is renowned for wanting his players to play slick football on the floor.

Having taken part in a number of training sessions under the guidance of Rodgers, Scotland international Adam feels that things are progressing well under the new boss.

"You need to keep the ball," said Adam. "If you do that, the other team has to chase it.

"You can see in training each day that we are already adapting. We are doing a lot of work with the ball because the manager is trying to get that passing style into our game.

"Wherever he has gone it has worked so why change?"

Adam joined Liverpool last summer from Championship side Blackpool.
