Julio Cesar believes that former Inter Milan teammate Philippe Coutinho will be Liverpool's "golden boy".

Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar is confident that former teammate Philippe Coutinho will make a name for himself at Liverpool.

The 20-year-old, who moved to Merseyside from Inter Milan during last month's transfer window, scored on his full debut for the Reds during their 5-0 hammering of Swansea City.

"I hope he can do well in a Liverpool shirt," Cesar told Liverpool's official website. "I send him my best wishes for his new adventure at Liverpool.

"I am convinced that he will prove his quality because off the pitch he really is a golden boy and he'll be able to assert himself."

Meanwhile, the Reds are preparing to take on Wigan Athletic in the Premier League this Saturday.
