Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that his players must be more potent in front of goal.
The Glaswegian was speaking after this evening's 3-0 defeat at Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Despite the three-goal scoreline, Dalglish's men controlled for many periods of the game and ended the match with only two fewer efforts on target.
Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Dirk Kuty wasted perhaps the best opportunities, with England stopper Joe Hart again in impressive form.
"If you want to be successful you have to be clinical, and that's what was missing tonight from ourselves," Dalglish said afterwards.
"We worked hard and passed it well, but if you're not clinical you won't progress."
The Reds are now 14 points adrift of City and lie sixth in the table.
