Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan has stated that Steven Gerrard fully deserves to win the Premier League title this season.
The Reds skipper gathered his teammates in a huddle to dish out words of advice following Sunday's victory over Manchester City, which kept them two points clear at the top of the table.
"It is phenomenal. He has carried this club for years and he deserves this," Flanagan told the Northern Echo.
"I think all the lads are doing it for themselves but for Stevie as well."
Liverpool last won the title in 1990.
