Steven Gerrard: It's the "right time" to leave Liverpool

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard reiterates his stance that it is the "right time" to leave the club.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has claimed that he has chosen the "right time" to leave the club.

The Reds skipper revealed his decision to move away from Anfield at the end of the season on Friday, and the former England international has reiterated his stance to the club's official TV station.

"I've been coming here a long time," Gerrard said. "I've been here since I was eight years of age and I always knew it was going to end one day and it was going to be an emotional decision.

"People will have their own opinions on it but I think for me, come the summer, it will be the right time [to leave]."

Gerrard is reportedly considering offers from several Major League Soccer clubs.
