Steven Gerrard: 'Liverpool not aiming for Premier League title'

Steven Gerrard claims that Liverpool's top priority this season is Champions League qualification rather than winning the Premier League title.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has claimed that the club's top priority is Champions League qualification rather than winning the Premier League title.

The Reds have enjoyed a good start to the season, with five wins from seven matches lifting them up to second place in the table.

"I would never say never about our chances of winning the Premier League title, but if I'm being honest, that's not the aim," he told the club's official website. "The aim is for a top-four place."

Liverpool have failed to reach the Champions League for the last four seasons.
