Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp "impressed" by Marco Silva ahead of Hull meeting

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that he was "impressed" by Hull City boss Marco Silva following the team's performances against Manchester United.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been left "impressed" by new Hull City boss Marco Silva ahead of this Saturday's Premier League meeting at the KCOM Stadium.

Since being appointed by the Tigers in early January, Silva has overseen three wins, three defeats and a draw in all competitions.

In that run, Hull played Manchester United three times, and they were beaten once, earned one win and also held the Red Devils to a goalless draw in their Premier League meeting at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

"I'm impressed. What can I say?" Klopp told reporters in Thursday's press conference. "It was an interesting challenge. Yesterday a lot of our boys were there and watched the game live. It was interesting to watch.

"They played United three times - not too easy. They played really well. Silva is obviously a good manager. The last 20 minutes was difficult because United started playing the long balls.

"[Hull] are bottom of the league? I couldn't see it. That's what teams can create. They had a really deep formation in the last 20 minutes but they are a footballing side. We need to bring it on the pitch, but it will be difficult."

Liverpool have had a disappointing start to 2017, winning just one of their nine games in all competitions.
