Liverpool confirm first-team staff overhaul

Liverpool have confirmed that four members of their backroom staff have left their roles.

Liverpool have confirmed that four members of their backroom staff have left their respective roles.

The wave of changes on Merseyside has continued in the wake of Brendan Rodgers's sacking on Sunday evening.

Sean O'Driscoll, Gary McAllister, Glen Driscoll and Chris Davies have each been relieved of their duties at the club, although McAllister will remain at Anfield in an ambassadorial position.

A statement on Liverpool's official website read: "The club would like to place on record its thanks to all four men for the professionalism, commitment and dedication they have displayed during their time here, and the positive impact they have had in helping to support football operations and the team."

Liverpool are widely expected to announce Jurgen Klopp as their new manager on Friday morning.
