Germany manager Joachim Low feels that Jurgen Klopp can go on to be a success as Liverpool manager.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss is expected to be appointed as Brendan Rodgers's successor this week, with reports suggesting that a deal could be finalised today.
Low has said that the Liverpool job would be a good fit for his German compatriot.
"Jurgen Klopp is a coach who was extremely successful in Germany with Borussia Dortmund and awakened in Dortmund so many fantastic emotions," Low told ESPN.
"Viewed purely from a distance, there are certain parallels with Dortmund and Liverpool - an incredible fan culture, lots of emotions, lots of traditions.
"So I think if [negotiations] work out, Jurgen Klopp can bring any team forward - including Liverpool."
Klopp won two Bundesliga titles, one German Cup and two German Super Cups during his seven-year spell in charge of Dortmund.
