Mamadou Sakho looking to adapt quickly at Liverpool

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has admitted that he is looking to adapt to life in the Premier League quickly, after claiming that he is not yet fully up to speed.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has said that he wants to adapt to life in the Premier League as quickly as possible.

The centre-back was signed from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day for around £15m, and has settled into a back-three at Anfield.

However, the Frenchman admits that it has been a learning curve, and he said that he wants to acclimatise as soon as possible to England's top division.

"I'm not yet at 100%, I'm progressing with each match that we have," Sakho told the club's official website.

"When you arrive in a country you don't know, you have to learn quickly about the differences in the game and have to get on and adapt yourself to the qualities of your teammates.

"I work every day at training sessions to progress and to achieve the highest level. It's logical that I would improve."

The Reds are currently third in the Premier League.
