Suarez: Carroll makes it easy for team

Luis Suarez pays tribute to Liverpool teammate Andy Carroll, saying that the former Newcastle United forward is "easy" to play alongside.

Luis Suarez has heaped praise on his Liverpool strike partner Andy Carroll.

The former Newcastle United forward has been the subject of much criticism since his £35m move to Anfield in January 2011.

However, the 23-year-old has scored headed winning goals in the Reds' last two matches and Suarez thinks that he has proved his worth to the team.

"I think it's great for us to have a player of his ability and style," said Suarez.

"His height and his ability in the air and to bring the ball down makes it easy for us smaller forwards in the side to link up with him.

"You only have to be running alongside him and you find the ball at your feet."

Earlier this week, Carroll insisted that his party lifestyle was behind firmly him.
