Preview: Liverpool vs. Queens Park Rangers

Sports Mole looks ahead to Liverpool's final Premier League match of the season against Queens Park Rangers at Anfield.

All eyes will be on Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher as he makes his final appearance for the Reds at Anfield before hanging up his boots.

The former England international will bid farewell to a 16-year career at the top level when he leads the Merseyside outfit onto the pitch this Sunday in the absence of captain Steven Gerrard, who is due to undergo shoulder surgery.

The Reds have nothing to play for in terms of the Premier League table as they are resigned to finishing the season in seventh below rivals Everton, while already-relegated QPR will try to avoid finishing their dismal campaign at the bottom of the table.

History is on Liverpool's side with regards to this fixture as the West London outfit have only clinched one point in their last five visits to Anfield. As well as that, the Reds secured a 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could hand Fabio Borini a start in attack with Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, while Andre Wisdom could make way for Jose Enrique at full-back.

For QPR, manager Harry Redknapp is likely to put Loic Remy on the bench following his bail release over allegations of rape, while Bobby Zamora could start up front with Jamie Mackie.
