On-loan Lille midfielder Joe Cole has revealed that he would prefer to stay in France next season instead of returning to parent club Liverpool.
The former Chelsea star has been at the Ligue 1 club since the start of the campaign after the Merseyside Premier League outfit decided to offload the 30-year-old on a temporary basis.
"I wouldn't say no to another season on loan at Lille," Cole told L'Equipe. "I would like to stay and I have to clarify that money is not the first priority for me."
Reports have suggested that the Reds have kept an eye on the former England international, with the idea of bringing him back to Anfield.
